Terrazzo cleaned, repaired, polished… beautiful
Terrazzo can be restored using the same process that is used in restoring marble and granite. We find that most terrazzo is coated with a wax. These waxes have a tendency to collect dirt and to yellow, which will require stripping and re-waxing.
But there’s a better way.
Our Terrazzo Restoration Process
Terrazzo is a unique stone finish that usually contains marble chips of different sizes and colors and is held together with a cement base or, in newer application, held together with a resin or epoxy base. Because terrazzo is so similar in composition to natural stone, it can be polished using the same natural polishing processes used on marble, limestone, and other types of natural stone. This natural polishing process requires no waxes or coatings, thereby eliminating the need for stripping. Consequently, our restoration processes can actually reduce your maintenance costs.
When terrazzo is finished naturally we can give it a high gloss or soft matte finish, or even a custom finish of your choosing. Gourmet Stone Care can restore, re-polish and repair your terrazzo floors, walls or counters. Using the proper cleaners and care products will keep your terrazzo looking like new with minimum maintenance.
